Eurooptica is a chain of five optical stores in Chișinău. For 12 years we have been fitting glasses and contact lenses, testing eyesight and making glasses in our own workshop. Legal entity: SIMETTOM S.R.L.
What is Eurooptica?
A full-cycle optician: an ophthalmologist tests your eyesight and writes the prescription, a consultant helps you choose a frame, the workshop fits the lenses, and after the purchase we look after your glasses for free. In 12 years more than 10,000 patients have had an eye exam with us, and our Google rating is 4.9 stars. The five stores are in different districts of the city: Rîșcani, Centre (two stores), Ciocana and Botanica.

Over 3,000 frames and sunglasses from 70+ brands, from Ray-Ban, Vogue and Emporio Armani to Prada, Gucci and Saint Laurent, plus affordable lines for those who want simple, reliable glasses. All frames are genuine. Lenses for glasses by Rodenstock and LTL: standard, thin, progressive, for screen work, driving and sport. What does an eye exam involve?
A full exam takes 45 minutes and checks 20 parameters: visual acuity, autorefractometry, intraocular pressure, biomicroscopy, fundus examination, correction selection and an ophthalmologist consultation. The equipment is Japanese and French. We see children from birth. Doctors work at three stores: N. Dimo 1/1, M. Eminescu 48 and Decebal 6. The price is from 400 MDL, and the result is a prescription for glasses or contact lenses.
Why are glasses ready within an hour?
Because we have our own workshop. Standard Rodenstock and LTL lenses in stock are fitted on the spot within an hour, and fitting is included in the lens price. Complex lenses, such as progressive, high-index and individual, are made to order and your consultant will tell you the lead time; we text you when they are ready.
What do we do after the purchase?
We look after your glasses. The “glasses spa”, meaning ultrasonic cleaning, frame adjustment and replacement of nose pads and screws, is free twice a year for any glasses bought at Eurooptica, with no appointment, 10–15 minutes at any store. Repairs and frame adjustment are done in our stores too.
How do we work online?
The website has the full catalogue with stock, an AI frame try-on on your photo, a free 3-day frame reservation in store, ordering with pickup from any store or courier delivery in Chișinău (50 MDL, free from 500 MDL) and payment on receipt. Contact lenses are ordered with parameters for each eye. Your account opens with an SMS code, no password, and keeps your order history.
Who are our lens partners?
We fit lenses by Rodenstock and LTL. Rodenstock is a German manufacturer whose thin lenses do not visually magnify the eyes, and whose progressive lenses give wide fields of clear vision where ordinary lenses have a narrow corridor. Standard lenses from both partners are in stock, which is why simple glasses are ready within an hour and complex ones are made to order. Prices: standard from 400 MDL, thin from 990 MDL, progressive from 4,990 MDL per pair, fitting included.
How do we fit contact lenses?
By prescription and lifestyle. Hydrogel lenses are the most common option: worn for 8–12 hours and removed at night. Silicone-hydrogel lenses let through more oxygen, and some models allow overnight wear, but only on a doctor’s recommendation. You enter the parameters for each eye (power, and for toric lenses the cylinder and axis) directly in your order on the website, and if you are new to contact lenses, come in for a consultation with the doctor.
